The solid rod thermoforming production line is purpose-built for the hot forming of automotive stabilizer bars (anti-roll bars / torsion bar springs), integrating end-section induction heating, full-body through-heating, bending and forming, and heat treatment into a fully automated and seamlessly coordinated workflow.
Utilizing medium-frequency induction heating with digital phase-lock technology for automatic frequency tracking, the line heats solid rod billets rapidly and uniformly to the required forming temperature, minimizing surface oxidation and decarburization throughout the process.
Custom-designed induction coils tailored to each stabilizer bar specification enable precise zone control, ensuring consistent quenching temperature and uniform hardened-layer distribution. The resulting parts retain a substantial tough core beneath the hardened surface, with favorable compressive residual stress that significantly enhances fatigue resistance and fracture toughness.
The system delivers substantial energy savings — approximately 60% less power consumption than conventional heating methods and 20% less than thyristor-based equipment. Operating without high-voltage risk, it runs continuously for 24 hours with high reliability and straightforward maintenance.
High adaptability is achieved through interchangeable induction coils, allowing the line to accommodate various rod specifications and support multiple heat treatment processes including quenching, tempering, annealing, and normalizing — maximizing production flexibility across different part types.
Developed and manufactured by Wuxi Microenergy CNC Technology Co., Ltd., the production line has earned strong industry recognition in the automotive components sector, with exports covering Southeast Asia, South America, Africa, and Eastern Europe, supported by comprehensive after-sales service and customizable engineering solutions.
